As of this writing, he has reached his target of one (1) million dollars by selling all one million pixels on his single web page.
It took him less than 20 minutes to brainstorm and come up with this creative idea. The advertising and press release on all types of media made it so popular that Internet users are visiting his website and it catapulted the website's traffic and ranking.
Since then, it has spawned several copycat websites doing the same pixel advertising. Of course, the original milliondollarhomepage.com still has a higher ranking than any of its copycats.
Alex Tew's success can be attributed to his creativity and his advertising efforts on the Internet, television, radio and the newspapers.
Everyone has a creative mind. Alex Tew had to go backward and bring up this idea in less than 20 minutes alone. And the advertising efforts have also paid off so well. He had a plan, the best laid plan to promote his website and a unique idea has turned this student into a successful entrepeneur even before receiving his business degree.
